Aries’ completely integrated Explorer mobile well inspection system is easy to set up and operate, increasing inspection efficiency and reducing operating costs. This compact unit, with its user-friendly interface, helps identify issues before they become more serious.

 

COMPACT INTEGRATED SYSTEM


All components on the Explorer Model EX1210 system are mounted on a compact two-wheeled cart. The cart includes a dual-view camera; a winch, reel and cable; a rechargeable battery; a control unit with LCD monitor; a DVR recorder and wireless keyboard.

The integrated Explorer mobile well inspection system, with 16 in (400 mm) wheels, provides great maneuverability. It can inspect 2 to 12 in (50 to 305 mm) boreholes. A boom arm extends up to 48 in (122 cm) for positioning the camera.

The system is powered by a 12 VDC rechargeable battery, or 110 or 220 VAC, 50–60 Hz.

A compact size and large wheels gives the Explorer well inspection system its great mobility.

DURABLE REEL WITH FAST CAMERA RETRIEVAL


The Explorer inspection system features an electric winch with 1200 feet (365 m) of Kevlar reinforced single-conductor cable with 1200 lb (540 kg) tensile strength.

A variable-speed motor provides fast camera retrieval, with speeds up to 40 feet-per-minute (12 meters-per-minute). An automatic level-wind ensures uniform cable spooling across the drum.

The reel on the Explorer mobile well inspection system has 1200 ft (300 m) of cable.

USER-FRIENDLY CONTROL UNIT


The camera control unit, with an 8 in (200 mm) LCD screen, is mounted on the cart for easy portability. A quick disconnect plug makes for easy removal of the control unit.

A rechargeable, wireless keyboard and integrated overlay is included for video titling and fault annotation, with audio voice-over recording. On-screen data includes depth counter, with units in feet or meters, and date/time

The Explorer mobile well inspection system has an integrated DVR that records to a USB flash drive. It includes a snapshot photo capture function.

The control unit for the Explorer mobile well inspection system is mounted on the cart for great portability.

CAMERA CAPTURES SHARP VIDEO IMAGES


The Explorer uses an Aries’ Dual View camera with 360° rotation for downhole and side-view video profiling. Manual focus and iris adjustment help obtain clear images in low lighting conditions.

Operator controlled focus and iris adjustment ensures sharp images in difficult lighting conditions.

High intensity LED arrays are included for the side and down view lighting.
